MODULAR SPACE SHEET

“I am experimenting with the flexibility of the wooden raw material. The paper-thin wooden plates are cut into identical shaped and sized sheets with a laser cutting machine. The cut shapes are wetted, then curved into waves one by one with a mould. Due to the structural unevenness of the material, after drying, the sheets remember the shape of the mould.  The finished pieces are slipped into each other along the structural gaps and cuts, I can play with the different colour temperature of the right and wrong sides and the organic spacing of the wavy sheets. The different sheets are marked with Indian ink. The opportunities of the base sheets for spatial construction are infinite.”
